Elements
All matter (including your body) is made up of 5 elements:

The combination of these elements determines your DOSHA, or constitution.

Doshas
You have all 3 doshas in your body. Most people have 1 dominant dosha, sometimes 2. Your doshic makeup is responsible for body type, characteristics, and personality.

Kapha
Your “Prakruti” (innate constitution) does not change. Your “Vikruti,” on the other hand, is the current state of your doshas, and reflects any imbalances caused by your environment, diet, lifestyle, external stressors, etc.

Pitta types are average size and relatively muscular. Their skin is warm, reddish, and irritable. Blessed with a sharp intellect, Pittas are assertive and outgoing, but can get angry easily.

Water & Earth
Usually of stocky build and larger bones, Kapha types have pale, moist, or oily skin. Known and loved for their warm, accommodating nature, they’re everyone’s “rock.” Can tend toward lethargy.
